Cookie Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

This policy lists every cookie this website can place on your device, what each one does, how long it stays, and who receives the data. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What we set, by category

Strictly necessary

One first-party cookie that records the choice you make in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. It carries no tracking and cannot be switched off.

No consent is required for a cookie that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. Remembering your cookie choice is such a cookie: without it we could not honour a refusal.

Analytics

Measures how pages are found and used, so we know which content is worth keeping. Our basic traffic count is cookieless and runs either way; this category covers the cookie-based analytics on top of it.

Your consent, given in the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time, and nothing in this category runs before you allow it.

Advertising

Lets us see which advertising campaigns lead to a real enquiry, and lets those platforms show our ads to people who visited the site. Nothing here runs unless you allow it.

Your consent, given in the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time, and nothing in this category runs before you allow it.

Measurement that sets no cookie

Separately from the categories above, we count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify you or follow you across sites, so it runs whatever you choose in the banner. It is what tells us how much traffic the site gets in total.

Who receives the data

The analytics cookies are read by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The advertising cookies are read by Google Ireland Limited and by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. Both act as our processor for the measurement we ask them to perform, and as a controller in their own right for their own purposes.

We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers named here.

Transfers outside the EU

Google and Meta may transfer data collected through these cookies to their parent companies in the United States (Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc.). Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, and both additionally rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Refusing the analytics and advertising categories prevents these transfers, because the cookies are never set.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same panel you saw on your first visit, and withdrawing is as easy as consenting: refusing everything is one click on "Reject all", in the same panel, with no extra step.

Withdrawing stops any further collection. It does not undo what was collected while your consent stood.

You can also delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse them. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie means we cannot remember your refusal, so the banner will ask again on each visit.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies we set change, we update this page and the date at the top, and we ask for your choice again where the change requires it.

For any question about this policy, or to exercise your data protection rights, write to hello@rylent.com. Our privacy policy explains those rights in full.
